Genetic counseling
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women.
In around 5-10% of cases, there is a genetic predisposition in the family. This greatly increases the risk of developing breast or ovarian cancer.
The presence of a "breast cancer gene" must be considered, for example, if there are several affected persons (directly related to each other), if the disease occurs at a relatively young age or if it occurs on both sides. Men can also carry such a gene and pass it on to their offspring.
Our services:
- Clarification of the individual risk of illness
- Advice on the subject of genetic testing, carrying out a genetic test if necessary
- Intensified early detection with a confirmed family history
- Implementation of preventive measures to reduce the risk of illness
