All patients with malignant breast disease are presented by us via video conference at the interdisciplinary tumor board of the cooperating oncology center.
The experts from various specialist areas discuss a therapy tailored precisely to each patient. The high cure rates for breast cancer make it possible to pay more and more attention to issues of quality of life and overtreatment, including psychosocial support, where we are also on hand with help and advice. In the so-called multimodal treatment concept, all treatment steps necessary for the patient are carefully coordinated. These are usually surgery, radiotherapy and a form of drug-based cancer therapy. During the consultation, we discuss the recommendations and plan the next steps together, tailored to the individual wishes of each patient.
