About me

Welcome to the Seeblick medical practice! My name is Denis Faoro and, together with my dedicated team, I am delighted that you are interested in our practice.

Before opening our practice, I worked as deputy head physician at Wetzikon Hospital, where I specialized in the treatment of endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian findings, uterine anomalies, incontinence and pelvic floor prolapse.

Although I specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques, the care and support of women during pregnancy and childbirth is particularly close to my heart. Thanks to my many years of experience, I strive to offer safe obstetric care that always takes the patient's wishes into account.

It gives me great pleasure to run the Seeblick medical practice in Meilen together with Ms. Beck and to offer our patients excellent medical care.

Career

Denis Faoro studied medicine at the University of Zurich from 2005 to 2011 and completed his studies with a dissertation under Prof. Dr. med. Grotzer at the Children's Hospital Zurich in the field of neuro-oncology. He then began his career as an assistant doctor in surgery at the Triemli City Hospital in Zurich, the St. Gallen Cantonal Hospital and the Flawil Hospital before switching to the specialty of gynaecology. 

After working as a junior doctor in the women's clinics at Aarau Cantonal Hospital and GZO Hospital Wetzikon, he became a senior consultant in the women's clinic at Aarau Cantonal Hospital in 2019, followed by further positions in the same role at Inselspital Bern and Triemli City Hospital. At the end of 2022, he moved back to the Women's Clinic at GZO Hospital Wetzikon, this time as Deputy Head Physician.

In parallel to his clinical work, he specialized in minimally invasive gynaecological surgical techniques and was awarded the "Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon" certificate and specialist certification in gynaecology and obstetrics in 2018. This was followed in 2022 by the specialist title for surgical gynecology and obstetrics. In addition, he has been involved in the preparation of specialist examination questions since 2020 and has been Chief Mentor for GESEA courses at sitem-insel Bern since 2022. 

In addition to his medical career, he completed an Executive MBA in Medical Management at the PHW Bern in 2022 with a master's thesis on process optimization for outpatient surgery and founded med-i-co medical insights consulting AG and the GESEA Swiss association. In 2023, he deepened his expertise with the European Endometriosis Masterclass and also obtained a certificate of competence in pregnancy ultrasound.

With the opening of the Seeblick medical practice in Meilen, he is using his many years of experience to offer his patients modern, empathetic and individually tailored care.
